The Tribeca Film Institute congratulates Lee Daniels for the continued recognition given to his filmmaking.  His second directorial effort Precious: Based on the Novel ‘Push’ by Sapphire has been nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.  Daniels was also recently awarded the Stanley Kramer Award from the Producers Guild of America. 

Lee Daniels was featured as a Tribeca All Access panelist in 2008, during which he bestowed his insights and experience to the participating filmmakers.
