Under the Bubble

A broken 23-year old, Rakesh Rohan, is enlisted to help increase productivity in a new start-up company by trafficking cheap labor from his native Delhi, India. Set during the 1990’s dot-com boom, Rakesh must decide between the American Dream and exposing the secret dealings of his employers.

Tanuj Chopra’s directorial debut, Punching at the Sun, made its New York premiere at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival. Hailed in a Variety review as a “distinctive, original and iconoclastic,” director, Chopra has teamed up once with his writing partner Hart Eddy with their lastest project “Under the Bubble.”

Seeing Red

A pair of Ruby earrings; a candied apple; and a rose tattoo. Three interweaving stories about Asian Americans women struggling with duty and forgiveness while living in New York’s Chinatown.

Liselle Mei has written, directed,and produced several in house socio-political documentaries and independent feature films under her company QI Films. Mei’s most recent film, Lower East Side Stories, aired on PBS’s Real NY series WNET/Thirteen. She is currently working on her next project Seeing Red with her co-writor/director partner Derek Nguyen.

The Bomber (Based on a True Story)

After a bungled “suicide bomb” attempt in St. Peter’s Square in Moscow, Zarema Muzhakoyeva must serve out her life sentence in prison. The Bomber chronilizes the events which leds up to the decisions of Zarema, a woman and unlikely candidate, who risks giving her life for the cause of the Chechen rebels.

JJ Goldberger, a recipient of the Paul Robeson Fund for Independent Media grant, and an accomplished director, met writer Charisse Waugh during the 2006 TAA program. After participating with separate projects; Goldberger and Waugh have teamed up with their next project The Bomber.
