Tribeca All Access 2009 Program Announcement

Tribeca All Access (TAA), a year round program of the Tribeca Film Institute, will present 27 new projects during the six-days of events taking place April 20 – 25 during this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, held from April 22 – May 3.

Entering into its sixth year, Tribeca All Access is designed to help foster and nurture relationships between film industry executives and filmmakers from traditionally underrepresented communities in the film industry.  Participating directors and screenwriters will have access to workshops and the opportunity to present their upcoming projects in one-on-one meetings with more than 100 potential investors, development executives, producers, and agents.  The 24 U.S.-based filmmakers involved in 21 narrative scripts and documentary work-in-progress, were selected to participate from an open call for submissions, which garnered over 475 submissions from across the country.  Six international projects will participate as well through associations with the UK Film Council, Screen Australia (formerly Australian Film Commission), and the Canadian Film Centre.

At the conclusion of the six days of events over $55,000 in cash awards will be presented.  For more information on this year’s jurors please see TAA 2009 Program Highlight.

This year, two TAA alumni were selected to premiere their films Entre Nos and Off and Running at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival in the Discovery program.  A third TAA alum was selected to provide a special work-in-progress screening of Making The Boys, which will be followed by a talk with the filmmaker and other guest speakers.  Four other alumni were also selected and invited back to present a special presentation of their TAA project and new works to an audience of registered Industry and supporters during the Tribeca Film Festival.  These presentations are part of Tribeca All Access OnTrack, the year round support for the program’s alumni.
