The Tribeca Film Institute helps filmmakers at all stages of their careers, young, emerging, and established, to tell their stories, realize their vision and connect with audiences. By creating innovative programs that draw on the power of film TFI promotes understanding, tolerance and global awareness. Through year-round programs that are as diverse in their content as New York is in its communities, TFI supports film-based initiatives which:

• Celebrate and promote film and filmmaking to people of all ages as a medium for self-expression and social action;
• Identify and encourage diverse voices from the US and around the world to make their films;
• Develop new opportunities and access for those interested in film and the arts;
• Educate children, youth and adults about historical and emerging themes in culture.
