Directors Paola Mendoza and Gloria LaMorte discussed the process of the making their feature narrative film Entre Nos, including their experiences with fundraising, collaboration, and filming in New York.  Clips from the film was shown to illustrate the discussion.

Mendoza and LaMorte forged relationships and developed resources for Entre Nos through the 2008 Tribeca All Access program. The film had its world premiere at the 2009 Tribeca Film Festival, where it was awarded an Honorable Mention. The film has since been featured in numerous international festivals and has received accolades for its story, direction and performances.

Based on true events, Entre Nos tells the story of Mariana, whose life takes a devastating turn when her husband abandons her and her two children, after they move from Colombia to Queens, New York.  Mariana and her children are forced to fend for themselves and find new paths towards sustenance. Entre Nos succeeds at infusing the familiar story of the search for the American dream with an authentic and heartfelt perspective.

With Entre Nos set for a theatrical release in 2010, we are proud to share more about LaMorte's and Mendoza's filmmaking process from conception to exhibition.
