Since 2005, TFI has utilized the power of film to help harness and direct the energy, vision and promise of New York City’s public school students. Through a broad range of programming, students with an interest in cinema have the opportunity to learn more about film and about how to use film to think about their own lives, stories, communities and careers.
Tribeca Film Institute offers year-round funding and support to help get movies made. Our artist programs teach filmmakers how to navigate a constantly changing film industry while staying true to their creative vision. Our youth and education initiatives invest in the training of media-makers of the future, with a focus on bringing art into the classroom, developing young audiences and promoting career development.
